The NGO is a non-profit organization, which identifies and works mainly with: children, youth and low-income mothers of slum and rural areas of Cusco, promoting integrated and sustainable development, in order to improve the quality of life of their families and community life.

GENERAL INFORMATION

- brief description of the project	The foundation has set itself the target to improve the situation of families with children with autism in the city of Cusco. They do this through transferring knowledge and experience to recognize autism, set up good coaching and providing adequate support the environment of the child. The foundation focuses on the children themselves, their parents and relatives, teachers, doctors and other professionals. The foundation develops and implements a comprehensive care program in Cusco. This program is primarily aimed at parents and caretakers of children with autism. Secondly, the foundation will share the knowledge they have with relevant categories of professions (in health care, schools, special education).
- activities	The foundation is looking for someone who can offer support in local communications. The foundation wants to be known better in Cusco. The activities that the volunteer or intern can develop: • Writing a communication plan • Develop promotional material • Develop activities to increase local awareness (for example a symposium) • Writing an informative website that the foundation wants to start for the local target group

GENERAL INFORMATION

- brief description of the project	Their belief: “The most beautiful thing about teaching is providing opportunities” The project runs two Schools for children between 4 and 10 years old where they provide education, love and values. They also have a Cultural Centre where children and adults from 11 to 100 years old can benefit from professional education, psychological advice, love and support. The project is financed by their social restaurant which is an example of a small sustainable economy that provides full time employment to around 20 people. They are also open to donations and particularly interested in working with and developing the concept of Social Corporate Responsibility so they can build a different society creating a different way of living.
- activities	One weekly meeting on Fridays in the restaurant, the weekly workload is distributed and students work on their own during the mornings. Depending on the studies and interests of the intern as well as the requirements of the university, the intern may be requested to work in the areas of: • Marketing: flyers, posters and animation on the knowledge of the activities of the organization both in Cusco and at an international level. Creation of the Newsletter, Facebook, Twitter and Internet visibility • Social Responsibility: working in developing partnerships in Social Responsibility both at local and International Level • Sustainable Economy: helping to develop the concept on a local level • Finances and sponsoring activities: helping with the donations and fundraising activities at all levels • Webmaster
INTERN REQUIREMENTS

- language	Spanish medium to advanced level, English advanced level (especially if the Spanish level is low intermediate), all other languages are welcomed especially French
- characteristics	Interns with at least one full year University/Business School successfully taken. Agreement signed between University/Business School and organization prior to arrival of the international student. A specialized academical professional tutor in the areas of Marketing, Management, Business, Organization and Finances is available during the entire stay of the intern. • Responsible and mature personality • Calm, friendly, hands on, reliable person • All activities outside the organization (trips, visits etc) must be communicated to the Volunteer Coordinator and the Academical Tutor at least one week in advance
